Ergo Chef Receives Best Cutlery Award at The Annual 2006 Atlantic
City Food And Wine Festival
October 6, 2006
The ergonomic designs of the Pro-Series cutlery by Ergo Chef have
been awarded the distinguished Veal Oscar award for best cutlery at
the Atlantic City Food and Wine Festival. Every year judges walk the
festival trying different brands to determine who will win the award
for best cutlery. Ergo Chef cutlery was designed by chefs and
engineers with unique features for unmatched comfort and a natural
feel, making food preparation effortless and safer.
The event brings together celebrity chefs who perform cooking
demonstrations, with some using their own food products and signing
books for the fans. The chefs gave compliments to company President
Scott Staib and Vice President Michael Staib for their presentation
and cutlery designs. Some of the chefs included the Emmy award
winning host Christina Pirello from her whole foods TV show
“Christina Cooks” and author of Everything You Always Wanted to Know
About Whole Foods But Were Afraid to Ask, and Cooking the Whole
Foods Way, Diane M. Henderiks, R.D. and author of Dietitian in the
Kitchen and Maria Liberati who was an Italian international super
model, now chef and author of her book The Basic Art of Italian
Cooking. They all presented on stage for the 15,000+ food lovers who
attended this annual event at the Atlantic City Convention Center.
Ergo Chef’s award winning cutlery faced three other top cutlery
manufacturers at the show: Chroma USA, Furi Techniques, and Cutco.
However, Ergo Chef was distinguished by their unique designs which
provide great comfort and help to reduce repetitive strain injuries.
This is achieved with the patented angled handle which limits wrist
and arm movement making the knives a true natural extension of the
hand. The precision balance and solid construction of the complete
line make each knife perfect for it’s specific task. The cutlery is
beautifully crafted from a solid piece of forged high carbon German
stainless steel making it ideal for home and professional use. The
cutlery continues to receive great reception from around the U.S.
and parts of the world for its natural comfort and ability to hold
an edge.
Ergo Chef LLC, an American-based family business, was formed in 2002
and operates from its office on 35 Eagle Road in Danbury,
Connecticut. The cutlery is distributed to individuals, gourmet
stores, culinary schools and restaurants across the U.S. by Ergo
Chef, LLC and through their wholesale distributor, Harold Import
Company, Inc. Lakewood, NJ.
